The Creative Co-Working Hub was a redesign of neoclassical property into a creative co-working economy. The proposal was to bring graduate artists and professionals from diverse design disciplines and cultures together to cross-collaborate and develop new forms of expression.
From technical drawings, 3D modelling to animation, this Interior Architecture course equipped me with the digital and traditional skills to pursue a creative career using my eye for detail.
Model-Making
Without doubt, my favourite element of the Interior Design degree was model-making. I loved the challenge and the fact that it was hands-on and detailed oriented. The following architectural models were made to 1:50 scale with cardboard, scalpel knives and and craft glue. It took over one month of long working hours to get it all together. It was exhilarating to see my 2D drawings come to life in 3D form from scratch!
Awards from degree show and new designers event
After 3 years of hard work and dedication, I achieved a first-class honours in BA (Hons) Interior Architecture and Design. I was lucky to win multiple awards at the Coventry Designers Degree Show of 2019 - Best Student, Best Hand-Cut Model and the Most Comprehensive Project.
After the Degree Show, a handful of students were selected to exhibit their work at the London’s New Designers graduate show, myself included. It was there that I won a prestigious award from one of the event’s sponsors, Global Experience Specialists (GES). The prize was a full-time Junior Designer position at their Sheffield office where I worked for a year!
